Lawsuit Alleges That School System Ignored Girl’s Story Of Sexual Abuse.

A young North Carolina elementary school girl is suing her teacher, a counselor and the school district in connection with the alleged sexual abuse that she suffered at the hands of her teacher.

Michael Alexander was the girl’s teacher at the Hildebran, North Carolina Elementary School and was found with videos and pictures of young girls engaged in sexual activity with themselves and with each other. He plead guilty to sexual assault charges and was sentenced to a minimum of 40 years in prison.

The child was 8 years-old when the sexual abuse and sexual assaults happened. She told Linda Bradshaw, the school’s counselor, that she was being touched inappropriately. But Bradshaw refused to take any action. Instead, she accused the girl of lying and made her go back to Alexander’s classroom, where she continued to be sexually abused.
