A Middlesex County, MA Grand Jury has indicted John Burbine, 49, of Wakefield, MA. Burbine has been criminally charged with numerous sex abuse incidents with thirteen different children from 2010 to 2012.
Burbine was previously convicted of a level 1 (the least likely level to reoffend) child sexual assault offense in 1989. His current charges include: 40 counts of aggravated forcible rape of a child; 17 counts of aggravated indecent assault and battery on a child; 12 counts of posing a child in a state of nudity; 11 counts of posing a child in sexual conduct; 13 counts of possession of child pornography; 2 counts of dissemination of material harmful to a minor; and operating an unlicensed child care program.
Burbine’s alleged child victims ranged in age from just 8 days old to 3.5 years old, and were all allegedly assaulted while in his wife’s care at her Wakefield child care business.
Burbine’s wife, Marian, was also indicted for reckless endangerment of a child and operating an unlicensed daycare. She allegedly knew of her husband’s prior history as a sex offender.
